About four years ago, just a few years after my re-introduction to insulator collecting, my son Mark and I found this piece along one of our favorite spots along the old abandoned SP line here in southeastern Arizona. Mark saw it from 30 ft away and exclaimed "THERE'S A PURPLE ONE!" I guess he thought the first one to it was the winner, because he ran as fast as he could to grab it like it was a race. It's value from a collector's viewpoint: specimen. Its value if mint: 100 to 125. Its value to my son and I: PRICELESS.
