Here is a picture of the base and the (pin)hole. I highly doubt that a pin went in here -- maybe it was cemented in place or something. Who knows. By the way, I think I've found my first dig site -- I already got our friends permission, I just have to get down there and DIG.. I'll post my finds as soon as I get digging.
