Siemens-Bock Insulator in use

This photo was taken by Lucia in Italy. This shows one of the "Siemens Bock" 3KV railroad insulators in use, supporting the metal arm, which in turn, suppoets the overhead trolley power line. Notice the metal "spikes" just below the SB insulator, must be there to discourage "unauthorized" climbers? The tower also hosts several other porcelain and glass insulators, as a nice photographic "bonus" . Scarey looking storm clouds, too...
