Finally a really good Brookfield threadless. It is so seldom that you even come across an embossed Brookfield threadless. The embossing, although somewhat light, is pretty much as good as you can expect to see. The CAUVET'S PAT JULY 25 1865 is all legible. The W. BROOKFIELD is very weak while the 55 FULTON ST N.Y. is light but ledgible. The 6 on the reverse side is bold. There is one small fisheye on the dome to the left of the embossing. The glass is clean and shiny. There is even a string of amber in the dome and skirt. A tough threadless to find and very seldom offered up in any condition.
