Old COPCO 66kv. Power Line-1

This old COPCO power pole is still standing and in service. The 66,000 volt line ran 29 miles north from Klamath Falls to Chiloquin, OR. After attending JSIC member Mid Norris' annual Insulator Swap and Potluck this last week in Chiloquin (see my pix of this in Insulator Shows) I was able to photo some of the older poles on this line. This pole was using Locke M-2927 multiparts dating from the mid 1920's. The 66 kv. line is now dead due to bigger and better power lines taking it's place. You will see the interesting way Pacific Power handled the #2 stranded copper wire in some following photos.
