While on vacation last week in Central Oregon I shot this photo of an in line transposition on a 66,000 volt Pacific Power & Light line near Redmond, OR. Old multipart poles like these are getting scarce but many remain in service in the dry high desert climate. Wood seems to last forever there. The multiparts are not rare and are probably Locke or Westinghouse.
