No your monitor is not going. This is one of the two tweener purples I have in the collection. I have only handled three of these in th efour years of specializing in Canadian 102s. To me, it is one of the prettiest of the 102 colors, but you be the judge. The lighting is from my back light case and the camera white balance has been adjusted for flourescent lighting. I call this one grape juice as it reminds me of grape juice after the ice melts and thins the grape juice out. The base is irregular, in fact squared on one side. Some surface cooling marks. A litel wire rubbing keeps it from mint. Some internal cooling stress cracks inthe threads.
