Well, based on the price guide values for the least expensive primary embossing for a CD 160, S.S.&Co. MFG's is the most expensive at $200-250 just one notch below the OVG at $250-300 ... i.e. if you are a CD 160 collector you want this!! (well, or a Hemingray collector...) This has some damage, but it's not really all that bad... Get it while you can, and in the next five years IF you happen to find an upgrade... well, it will fill the void for now! A great piece which was made by Hemingray. A very small flake on the front, and a slightly larger one under "40" (see photo). Minor chipping to about 1/4" of the upper wire groove towards the left side of the insulator. (see photo). See the [id=163111056; next picture] for details of the back... Oh, that "blob" spanning the two C's and the spec above the dot in Co. are not damage. They are bits of "stuff" in the glass. Gee, should that raise the price? ;-) Nah... Note that I said the lowest range for the SS&Co. was $200-250, but Ice Green is listed at $250-300. I'd say this is a pretty reasonable Ice Green. Given the rarity, and considering the condition, I don't think $175 plus shipping is out of line for this piece with a book value $250-300. I guess I'll find out if I get 5 emails in the next hour!! Don't be afraid of my detailed description of the damage. Satisfaction guaranteed, if you don't like it or disagree with the damage as described when you get it, I'll gladly give you a refund, and the return shipping is on me... |
