Here the line crosses an elbow in a small valley that had a pretty stout creek running through it. The creek was too wide, deep, and fast moving over large boulders to cross without getting the camera dunked, so I ended the chase here. The close pole is on this side of the creek, but the next two are on the far side, as the creek did its elbow movement from right to left and back. The far poles were on my side, but a swampy area at the elbow discouraged me from staying on this side. This is at a pretty high elevation and the aspens will soon be brilliant yellow. |
