Here's a CD and color combo you almost never see offered for sale due to their extreme rarity. This is a CD 164 (f) H.G. Co Patent May 2 1893 (b) Petticoat in a glowing peacock blue with some milk in the dome. These are booked to sell at $7,500-10,000, if you can ever find one for sale (a vnm+ to mint example would easily surpass high book). This example is damaged, but that only aids in adjusting the price down to a more affordable range. As you can see in the pic, it displays rather nicely from the front, with only a small skirt chip and some drip chipping.

A resin repair was done about 30 years ago to approximately half of the rear skirt, plus a small portion of the inner skirt. The repair could be better, but the color is a satisfactory match. There's a clamshell bruise to the top rear of the dome with no glass missing. I've proudly owned this piece for a dozen years and never felt a need to touch the repair since it displays so well from the front. I obtained it when I purchased the Tim Curtis collection 12 years ago and the McDougalds owned it prior to him, which covers about a thirty year span. I will happily provide additional reverse side photos to interested parties. Let's list this at an unheard of low price of $950 ppd. (and I'm holding firm). That's one tenth of high book value! This will make a great placeholder until you are ready to shell out book price or more. There are very few collectors fortunate enough to have this color included in their CD 164 H.G. Co/Hemingray lineup and you can now add it to your collection at a fraction of what others might have paid!
