A friend has sent us a picture of an insulator and wants to know more about it. Not familiar with it. Can anyone help us? We're told: "It's a #42 with a factory ribbed metal cover over the insulator skirt. It's in two pieces and clamps on with those two pieces you can see on the sides. It only fits that particular type of #42. I tried it on another type, probably newer and a bit of a different skirt, but it doesn't fit. I know at one time they had a problem with insulators shorting out near the Potash Mines, but I fail to see if this would help that any." Does anyone have any information on this?
