A six sided nut with machine threading is embedded in the dome. There is also a metal sleeve in the threads. This rare CD 186.2 is embossed HEMINGRAY - 19 on one side of the skirt and MADE IN U.S.A. over a small embossed 18, on the reverse side. There is a bruise in the upper ridge of the wire groove. It starts on the right side and ends just over the MADE embossing. It is about 1 1/2" long. There is no glass missing and it isn't that noticable. Just below the 19 embossing there is a spot of skirt flaking. Very shallow and that too is not all that noticable. On the inner skirt there are three small chips. Very few of these surfaced and that was way back in the 1970s. Seldom are they offered up for sale. The price guide sets a value of $600 to $700.
