Two McLaughlin CD 154's with two colors that I can't identify without something to compare them to. Both have {NO 42} embossed on the rear skirt which is unlisted. Both also have round drip points. The Guide offers light green, lime green, sage green, blue gray, dark steel blue, and delft blue (what the heck is a delft?) in the nearest [050] and [055] embossing. Bob McLaughlin set me straight - the one on the right is definitely sage green while the one on the left is sage blue. This is largely determined by style (short), drip points (Close Large Round - CLRDP) and the embossing. Fred Padgett's Book 'Dreams of Glass' is a great resource when trying to classify McLaughlins if you don't have Bob there to help you! |
