High elk herd

This is a part of the herd we saw. It was taken at about 12,500 feet elevation. We estimated that there were about 100 total, with lots of young. The cows were chirping at us nervously as we moved up. The bulls were much higher in the basin. The remoteness, the wildlife and the incredible flowers made for a great trip!
