Typical of more recent above ground installations in residential areas. This pole replaced one which had crossarms, brown porcelain bells and a black transformer.

All new service within city limits must be underground. This has been the law for quite a few years. Even new houses built within the city along above ground distribution lines must be fed by running leads down the pole, underground and into the residence's power meter.

I do not know if this is the case in unincorporated Clark County, North Las Vegas, Boulder City or Henderson.
