It took me some time and gentle nudges from a couple of the xperts to learn how to accurately ID these early script jobby Hemis from the newer prism and transitional embossing hemis and I finally got them straight and found a nice one! Great looking early piece that is lightly embossed and with close scrutiny you can tell that the lettering and numbers are hand engraved and not stamped or prismic, the 1893 embossing, the 1 and 3 are relatively decently engraved and the 89 are quite squashed and sloppily engraved and the N in No 9 and 9 are huge! The colour is pale, light aqua, not ice but very light with a generous 7/8" thick magnifying glass dome and lightly flared skirt. Threads are down to 1/2" of the drip points. Insulator has 2 flaked drips(2 are popped factory bubbles)and one tiny pinky nail sized shallow scallop on the base. Very clean example of this hard to find early piece. Date of manufacture of these script embossings is between 1893-95. Satisfaction guaranteed! Please email me if you need another pic of embossing or front. $20 and I pay shipping in US.
