Milholland called it the "snow cone" or was it the "ice cream cone"? I'm not sure. All that aside, this is a nice looking and very desirable insulator. It is base embossed AM INSULATOR CO. N.Y. DOUBLE PETTICOAT PAT'D SEPT. 13, 1881, NOV. 13, 1883, FEB. 15,1884 It is the Feb 15th date that is different than the more common Feb13th embossing. The color is a fairly light aqua, nice and clean. A pretty good size bubble lays at the base of the skirt. There is a 1/2" wire groove chip on the reverse side of the bubble. The embossing is sharp and all there. This piece was going to the National but I ran out of room. Price guide says I should be asking $350+ but I think I'll put it out for $275 and I'll pay the shipping to your U.S. or Canada address.
