I found two of these single piece threadless wooden pins attached to relatively common threaded insulators. The dealer told me he personally salvaged the pins and insulators many years ago from the crossarms of poles abandoned along the railroad tracks that ran through the older part of downtown San Jose. The pin has an overall length of 10". The rust color top section is 2 and 3/4" long with a 7/8" diameter at the top that widens to 1 and 1/3". The insulator fits snugly on the pin. There is no evidence of any threading. See Views 2 & 3 for more details. Does anyone have any information? (A member identified it as a chair leg. I would agree.)
