Finally, here are the insulators we salvaged with permission from a contractor on 6-11-2006. Represented here are 12 corrugated base Hemingray 43s, 2 aqua 43s, 2 clear 43s with RDP, 9 Hemingray 45s (picked up because of the late date of 1966), 46 Hemingray 21s, 2 Knox U-627Bs, 1 Ohio Brass U-630, 26 Thomas U-671s, 1 Locke U-460A, 7 Thomas U-732s, 1 Knox 734A, and out of the picture is one large trashcan full of CEECO and REN insulators. That was our only disappointment of the day, that we got them working a stretch with a lot of that instead of glass. If anyone is interested in visiting this job before it is over, especially to get that elusive CB Hemingray 43 and a lot of blue Hemingray 21s, please email me. It's 3.5 hours from me, so I won't be making much more than one or two trips. [id=144377042] to see what this line looked like a few months ago. The part of the line in the picture is now gone. |
