We awakened this morning, Monday, May 8th, to one inch of new fallen snow. Yesterday I was out in the Insulator Field making preparations for the upcoming Merritt Insulator Show, May 27-28, and checking the progress of the gardens. This morning, I am wondering where the snow came from, as I am sure our little friend here was as well. This is a Caliope Hummingbird male, and I am sure he was feeling somewhat out of place. Despite this mornings snow, we are looking forward to seeing many new collectors at this show, plus lots of the old familiar faces. Remember that Sat. lunch and Sunday breakfast are on us. Come on out to Merritt, May 27-28 for a fun show. We've ordered sunshine, so forget the snow.
