Rarely seen or offered for sale. An outstanding "glowing" red-amber color. This color is hard to get in the far more common embossing styles. This one sports the early "New Script" style embossing that predates the 1895 Prismic style. Very rare in this color. This piece has unusual damage. No major skirt chips and / or those distracting base bruises so common to HG 162's, but it does have damage to almost all the drips, from chipped to just nicked. Five drip chips come outward into the skirt as "V" chips, the largest being about half the size of my thumbnail. A sharp mold line around the wire ridge is rough, with a couple teeny flakes and one that is about half the size of my pinkynail. It might sound worse than it is, but all the nicks and dings are clean, leaving this piece sparkly and beautiful in this stunning color. A huge money piece if mint, this one displays fantastic for $350, and I'll get the postage in US.
