Mystery insulator?

The McDougald price guide lists just one CD 252 with a letter 'S' above the word 'Hemingray'. It is:

[275] (F-Skirt) S/HEMINGRAY-62/[Numbers and dots] (R-Skirt) MADE IN U.S.A./[Number] RDP (listed in "blue tint" only)

The insulator above has a clearly visible 'S' above 'Hemingray - 62'. But it has a smooth base, not round drip points (RDP). Also, in person it looks clear.

Next, because the 'S' is off-center (above the -62) I thought it might be 'MADE IN U.S.A.' blotted out. No other blotted out letters are visible, but you never know.

However, the only listed 'MADE IN U.S.A.' blot out has a corrugated base (CB).

If you've seen one, let me know.

Happy collecting,

Sandia
