Here is an older Grays Harbor P.U.D. power pole using a blue insulator to mark the secondary voltage neutral or grounded wire. In some states it is code required to mark the neutral with a white or blue insulator. This utility uses white as you can see on the spool rack but sometimes blue is also used. The little thing on the top crossarm is not an insulator....it's a bird, posing for the shot! The pole is on a road in the middle of a cranberry bog.
