Myself being Polish, I can thoroughly relate to this telegraph pole's disposition. Loaded with N.E.G.M.CO. & B No.44 CD 145s, a few No Name No.40 or No.48 CD 152s, DOMINION - 42s in a variety of mould styles and colours, and two CD 143s, this pole was without doubt the most appealing to the eye of all encountered today! Now, I've been out of the hunting circuit for over a year - could anyone give me a hand identifying the 143s? It's odd, as they're rarely encountered on the CP lines around here, but the piece on the farthest left of the bottom arm looks almost like a round base Dwight Pattern CD 143! The piece second from the pole on the right of the same arm, however, has little resemblance to anything I can think of. I'm hoping it's either an unembossed '1-F' style CD 143, or another [130] CANADIAN PACIFIC RY CO CD 143. Both of the above styles have the thick, boxy appearance that this 143 does. The colours also match quite well. |
