A number of you have visited this salvage yard next to the Jack rabbit Trading Post on S. I-40, exit 269, 12 miles east of Winslow, Arizona. The family and I were visiting Arizona in 2003 and stumbled on this site on the way to the Painted Desert & Petrified Forest. The proprietor sells insulators in his store and this is a picture of his sales stock !! Basically, he salvaged all of the BNSF (ATSF) crossarms between Winslow and the New Mexico state border when the railroad company ripped them up. I have more commentary with the second picture [id=145457295]
