This is what it looked like when I first saw it .... a rair Fred M locke M-2842 a ! Paul Greaves and I were following an old line in the foothills of Nevada county, Ca two weeks ago when we stumbled on to this... nearby was the old squair redwood pole .... we figured this section of line was removed in the mid to late 1930s . The line was very hard to find and follow as it had been gone so long . We think it was hunted by collectors in the early 1970s ... but thankfully they missed this!
