When I was a kid, these were scattered all over the Puget Sound area. They always seemed to be installed in the most impossible to get applications. I remember a pole down at the end of a driveway across some fields along 140th Ave north of the Bellevue city limits that had 9 of these hummers on the lower arm, .... 3 on drop pins off the transformer and 3 each on those three-point steel drop brackets with the lead threads, ... and every single one of them had a reverse loop tie !!!!! AND the pole was right in the front yards of both houses the drops went to (with NOTHING else around for a good excuse to be there!) Anyway, ..... ! I always liked them, and because I never could get my mitts on one, they have always been kind of special to me. But I have always wondered, who made these big, heavy unmarked beauties ? |
