Here's a cool piece I picked up in an antique store in Clatskanie, Oregon: a rare Johns-Maville incuse marked baby signal porcelain insulator with an unusual and old barb-wire used for a tie wire! Likely recycled by a farmer to support his barbed wire fence for his cattle and horses. These are rarely offered for sale and I've never seen one with an original tie-wire. Perfect collectible for those who collect both historical examples of barb wire and enjoy old porcelain insulators. Great go-with for collectors who enjoy artifacts from the old West too! Light surface rub marks, small wire groove and thumbnail inner skirt chip otherwise very nice. Displays very nicely. First email gets it for $45 plus shipping. Thanks |
