Here's a cool piece I picked up in an antique store in Clatskanie, Oregon: a rare Johns-Maville incuse marked baby signal porcelain insulator with an unusual and old barb-wire used for a tie wire! Likely recycled by a farmer to support his barbed wire fence for his cattle and horses.

These are rarely offered for sale and I've never seen one with an original tie-wire. Perfect collectible for those who collect both historical examples of barb wire and enjoy old porcelain insulators. Great go-with for collectors who enjoy artifacts from the old West too! Light surface rub marks, small wire groove and thumbnail inner skirt chip otherwise very nice. Displays very nicely.
