Nope... This was the very beginnings of my pole line in April 2002... I made the brackets in a high school woodshop class, and they are made of cedar. The wire was #12 copper, and the insulators were common H.G.CO. CD 145s (not seen) and various ponies (as seen here) on the corner pole. I was going after the farmer line look - and came through apperantly without a problem.
