Polymer rubber suspension insulator from the 500kv Mead Phoenix power transmission line complete with 14" corona ring seat for kids. The insulator is over 17' long as this is the outside phase on this 3 phase AC line which will someday be converted over to 500kv DC. The extra length was needed for this purpose. The "swing" was mounted on a swivel above so the children can swing and rotate at the same time. Loads of fun! The insulator is rated at 50,000# and weighs less than 60#!
