The substation is older than it looks and was built by Mountain States Power Co. approx. late 1940's. Mountain States was Pacific Power and Light's predecessor in this area until 1954. The sub. had Reddy Kilowatt signs on it until this modern Pacific Power logo was used in the 1980's.
