This Cherokee Indian spear point was found near Hayesville NC. This area was part of the original Cherokee homeland, before they were forcibly "relocated" west to Oklahoma and other territories back in the 1830s, another unfortunate part of our past history.

The exact age of this item is unknown, it could be two hundred, or even two thousand years old.

Update: I've ben informed that this one could possibly be 5 to 10 thousand years old, from the "Susquehanna" period.

Earlier this week (Aug 19, 2009) I found two more possible Indian artifacts on the ground, to see them, [id=255355174]
