Here's a arrester i didn't want but wanted to take apart so i broke the copper off and took the insulator ( GAP TYPE ) out then started to drill the metal out ( very dusty ) so i filled it with water and drilled it all out and took the base apart and here's a view of it all apart but shows how it would go back together.
