Covington, LA lies north of New Orleans across Lake Pontchartrain. The town had enough elevation that we did not see much flooding in the areas we worked in. However, I got a feeling that this must be like what parts of Europe looked like during World War II. So many enormous pine trees gave way and were laid over like pencils everywhere you looked. Here is one home we didn't get to work on as the homeowner couldn't be located to give us approval to work. There are three late model vehicles under the two trees in the foreground....a Blazer, a Beetle and a "smushed something". This job would have taken over a day just to clear debris in order to get to the house to clear it out.
