Dutch windmill in Illinois

This windmill was bought and assembled here in Geneva, IL by Col. Fabyan in the 1920's. He was an excentric chap with varied interests. The accoustic lab he founded still operates (run by IIT). He hired Wm Friedman who was one of the worlds formost codebreakers. The windmill stands along a bike trail that was once part of the C&NW Railroad (to the right of the pine tree. This winter shot was taken in 1997.
