Words cannot describe just how beautiful this piece turned out. This piece has burl (the tiny cicles you can see in the dome and skirt), ambrosia (that's the grey streaking), curling (to give it a 3-D effect), and the color ranges from a pale shade of maple to reddish orange.

This one has character all around, and it was a difficult decision in selecting the side to photograph - so we took pictures from all angles! We're happy to send additional pictures if you'd like, but we're sure you'll be able to make an informed decision to purchase based on just this one picture.

Like all of the wooden pieces we have to offer, these are hand-turned replicas with no threading. We will never make a piece resembling one originally made from wood (i.e., San Francisco trolley insulators), nor will we ever turn one from lignum vitae. Each piece is signed and dated after production, and coated with several coats of clear lacquer to bring out the natural beauty of the wood.
