One from England, a Pilkington (CD 435) seen at the YPCIC show in Enfield CT, last April. There are not too many British glass insulators, and this particular one is very rare, only about 5 or 10 are known to exist. These were experimentally tried out on one rail line in England, as a substitute for the white porcelain "Cordeaux" insulators, but they were never accepted for general use. [IFONA CD 435] |
