View looking east from the portal of Tunnel 19. The north side of the cut had the steepest rock cut. Telegraph lines would have been along the upper part of the cut and then run over the top of the tunnel. There are some spectacular remote areas along this line. Information gathered so far indicates that there were telegraph lines on both sides of the track in this area. Farther east, close to Clarksburg there was an extra toll line running on one side for a total of three lines !!! Surely there must be something still out here in the woods.
