This semiphore remains as part of the original line equipment from earlier days when this was part of the B&O Railroad. Located at Silver Run Station, W. Va., the road crosses the tracks here where a station was once located. Nearby is the remains of an abandonded marble factory.

The North Bend Rail Trail is a work in progress extending from Parkersburg, W. Va to Clarksburg, W. Va. The 71 mile bike / hiking / horse trail travels the old railroad bed of one of CSX Transportation's fromer main line east - west routes. The line has been saved and is part of the 5,500 mile coast-to-coast American Discovery Trail.
