Well now... I wasn't expecting to see this one turn up around here. Actually, since I had never seen one before, and knew nothing at all about them, I would never have expected to see one turn up anywhere. Regardless/irregardless, though, this [105] AM TEL & TEL CO CD 121, that's the one with large embossing, and an "M" shaped like a "Y with two legs", turned up in one of those "on-commission" antique stores in a far away city. My dad spotted it laying on the ground, with a thick, heavy duty power pin in it. The price tag said $10, and since there was no one to bargain with in this "on-commission" store, we had no choice but to pick it up for that much.

Now, I have a couple of questions. First off... this one is Hemingray blue... that is, it is dang near to identical to all those Hemingray signals and 42s that come in the nice, dark blue shades. No green is visible in the colour of this piece. So, is this what's listed as "blue aqua", or is it actually an unlisted piece. In the above photo, it's compared to a Hemi blue H.G.CO. CD 151. I chose this piece for comparison because it's slightly lighter in colour than the Hemi-42s in Hemi blue, so it more closely matches the intensity of this piece. Apologies for the poor photo, I'll get a better one with a white background, but is this piece unlisted? Does anyone have a "blue aqua" one?

Also interesting to note that the "O" in "CO", although still large by comparison to a regular AM TEL, is of lower case compared to the other embossing on this piece. This is great embossing, and look at that "M"! What the!??!?! (Alright, alright... I've been notified that you can't actually *see* that "M" in order to *look* at that "M". Sheesh... don't you people have an imagination!??! Just imagine what it COULD look like... for instance, bright purple and 7 miles tall ;) )

My second question is... who made these? How old are they? How common are they? Actually, that's three questions, but I try to look beyond the trivial things in life, such as blatantly incorrect statements.

Any help would be grossly appreciated!
