After driving many many miles and scoping out the path of the contractors who are removing the poles along the line, we finally stumbled across the evidence of the previous day's work. We never did find the contractors, they must have taken the day off. Much to our disappointment, as we were hoping to be there while the poles were sawed down. Sad to see them go that way, I was hoping to get some good photo shots of the actual chainsaw cutting the poles and falling to the ground. I hate to see the poles go, most certainly, but if we can be there to retrieve the insulators then it is some compensation. Here is Tom with a J bracket. Next picture: [id=127266053]
