This pole has a four pin rolling tramp to not only transpose two wires in a circuit, but also the two circuits, all at the same time. There are a couple J tramps, too. Also note the band under the bottom arm. The railroad that once owned these poles put a half band for the 5th pole per mile, a full band for 10th, then a full and half for 15th, and so on. There were 44 poles per mile on this line, and they were used as a reference, such as mile post 34, pole 12. The signal code circuit from one end of the siding to the other is all that remains. |
