A while ago when I was 9, or just about seven years ago I was with my Mom at this party and on the way I saw some old power lines like none I've ever even seen today that looked pretty interesting rummage around through for some suspensions. We were there for about 5 hours. We were going to be heading home soon and I had asked if we could stop there so I could look around, (your probably thinking we stopped on the way home and I found this New Lexington at the power lines) but surprisingly NO, at the party I was asking my Mom if we could stop there and the lady that had invited my Mom was asking her, why does he want to go there and she said, my son collects insulators like on the telephone poles and she said really my dad was an electrician and back in the early 60's they were changing all the older insulators and replacing them with newer ones and he brought home about 2-300 of them and he let me display them in my room because at the time I thought they were cool because of all the shapes & colors. so she had them all under her basement stairs and she took down there and showed me then, and I can tell you, there was a lot of insulators, mostly glass and at the time we didn't have a computer and I knew very little about them, but I remember seeing some beehives and many other styles, but I remember I was sitting down and I put my hand down on this big brown thing and I looked at it and she said you can pick out 6 of them to take home, so I took this one and some others and have had them ever since. she lives about an 1 hour away and I'm still fighting with my Mom to take me there to see them or even buy them.
