Here is a close-up of the skirt of this neat piece. As I mentioned I'll be adding a few more pix of some of our other Brimfield finds as time permits. Including those (more common) that I left the original iron wire on. For more information please see the next two photos I just posted. FYI..I found this piece on my own. Joe and I were staying at a hotel in Chicopee the night I was invited to the Brimfield dealer's house to go through the rest of the insulators he had in his barn (see next two photos with captions). He just bought the place and wanted to get rid of everything, the insulators were a buck apiece. Joe was with me during Brimfield. But we did not get there until late afternoon that Thursday. We split-up and tried to cover as much ground at the fair while the dealers were still open (a lot were starting to close). Heavy rain was forecasted for Friday so we knew that we weren't going far the next day! Anyway, Joe stayed at the hotel Thursday night to have a nice visit from another insulator collector (as was planned) who lives in that area. I just missed this fellow coming back since I got back to the hotel shortly after midnight. Joe and I stayed up all night cleaning and googling about my finds!
