I scanned the only known photo of myself and my bottle digging freind. I'm on the left. We are in the backyard of a house that my brother lived in for a while in Mill Valley, California, 1967. (I'm 17 at the time.) The landlord told my brother that the backyard had buried glass and we could have at it. I estimated the dump to be from roughly 1910 to 1925. We dug up 3/4's of the backyard and took out hundreds of bottles -- a lot of porcelain stopped beers, some whiskeys, a lot of crown top sodas, and numerous household and medicine bottles. No insulators though. Later I walked down the hill from the yard and found a boxfull of really nice bottles that had been tossed down the hill by the original residents.
