This old funky PGE pole is still in service on S.E. Mill St. and 11th in Portland, OR. The bigger pig is one of, if not the only, old style cast iron transformer left in service on the Portland General Electric Co. system. The voltage is 2400/4160 Y. I have wanted to get a photo of this pole before it is history. Finally got around to it one sunny day and when I got there, the sun was gone! Does that all the time here in Portland and has been worse than ever this Spring. So I took some shots anyway and hope to get a good sunny afternoon shot later, since the pole faces west. The best you can do is copy and zoom it in for detail fun.
