This old Pacific Power & Light Co. 66,000 volt line was typical of their early power line construction around Pasco, WA. The big fat multiparts are Thomas M-4420, which they used extensively, starting about 1912. The photo was actually taken in Oregon and shows the Columbia River in the background and Interstate Highway 84. The bare hills of Washington State are in the far background. The line was totally removed in 2001.
