In early April, a strong spring blizzard roared through eastern Colorado and southern Wyoming causing extensive damage to this 1930s power line going from Calhan east to Ramah, CO. Numerous poles were snapped off and wires were broken. Our power in Calhan was out all day due to this line being down. Mountain View Electric has temporarily setup this line as a two-way feed, so this section has been isolated for about 6 miles. There are a few strings of early LAPP or Hewletts in the next picture on a switch pole and a slack span pole near the switch pole(is a grasshopper type I believe)
