I acquired this cut out insulator when I was in fourth grade back in 1976. Well, my mother thought it would make a great lamp for my room. Our local lamp store was able to drill a hole in the top so the wire could be run thru. Nearly 30 years later, it still looks great and is one of the few insulators I have that's actually serving a purpose other than looking pretty on the shelf!
