These are two of the three hardest to find along with the invisible 145. Ross Baird found the 164. Then Matt Poage sent me the background on this 164. Matt had owned it and sold or traded it to Ross. Matt found this one on e-bay about four years ago. The lineman's boss exchanged it out in 1970 (those must have been the good old days). It was "taken" from the old Middlecreek Valley Telephone Company in Snyder County, Pennsylvania. Thanks Matt for the history on this one. My 162 was an early '04 Christmas find via Ross, the 164 cost me the most. The price guide shows the 162 half the cost of a 164. The 145 was the last one I found in the set. It's rare and under priced in the guide. |
